Cushing, Florence M.
Florence M. Cushing, 94, of Waukee, formerly of Adel, passed away Oct. 28, 2011, at Legacy Pointe Care Center in Waukee. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at the United Methodist Church in Adel. Burial: Walnut Township Cemetery, Waukee. Friends may call after noon Sunday at McCalley Funeral Home, 735 S. 14th St., in Adel, where family will greet friends from 2 to 5 p.m.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Jake; daughters, Annette (Joe) Dowd of Omaha, Neb., and Joyce (Don) Klimes of Cedar Rapids; grandsons, Brad (Catesby Major) Dowd of Kansas City and Ryan (Martha) Dowd of Omaha; and three great-grandsons, Jacob, Andrew and Leo of Omaha.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Vera McGinnes.
