Curtis, Nina Marie
Nina Marie Curtis, 55, of Fort Lupton, Colo., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died June 15, 2013, at Platte Valley Medical Center in Brighton, Colo. Her body was cremated. Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at Riverside Shelter, Pinicon Ridge Park, Central City, with minister Don Kirchner officiating.
Survivors include her daughter, Nikkole (Curtis) Swearingen; stepsons, James Shannon, Sean Shannon and Cliff Shannon; sisters, Diane Hiatt of Tennessee and Beverly Himes of Iowa; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert Palfreyman and Richard Curtis; and special friend, Patrick Shannon.
Nina was born Feb. 20, 1958, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daughter of Lemuel M. Curtis and Gertrude S. Curtis. She worked odds and ends jobs throughout the years.
