Curtis A Headington, 84, of Mount Vernon, Iowa, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025 at the University of Iowa hospital. He donated his body to the University of Iowa.
Curtis was born on February 3, 1941 in Decorah, Iowa to Art and Clarabel Headington. He spent 34 years
dedicated to working for Western Electric, where he was known for his strong work ethic and quiet sense of humor:
Curtis is survived by his loving wife Sharon Headington, his son Jahn Headington (Sandy); grandson Erik Headington; great-granddaughter Emma Rose Headington. He was preceded in death by his daughter Amy Headington; parents; father and mother-in-law, Huns and Julia Bergsrud; and brothers, Lester and Gary.
A joint celebration of life for Curtis and his daughter Amy will be held on May 31, 2025 at 750 N. Center Point Rd., Hiawatha, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Discovery living.
