Curtis, Betty Lou
Betty Lou Curtis, 78, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Oct. 7, 2009, following a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Jude Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services is assisting the family.
Survivors include three children, Dennis Hamilton, Ann (Dan) Edmunds and Linda (Ron) Bearbower; seven grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dick and Jack Bevins; and two sisters, Mary Ellen Novak and Joyce Wedo.
Betty Lou was born Aug. 26, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of George and Helen (Ward) Bevins. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three children, David, Tom and Cathy Chase.
