Curt A. Frantz, 48, of Iowa City, died Thursday, July 2, 2015. A gathering time for family and friends to remember Curt will be
held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service,
followed by a time at Grizzlies.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his memory.

Curt Anthony Frantz was born Jan. 2, 1967, in Iowa City, the son of Elmer and Mabelle. He attended schools in Iowa City, graduating from City High School in 1985. He had worked construction most of his adult life.
Curt had many hobbies, including fishing, camping and knife collecting, but his favorite of all was tinkering in the shop. He loved sports; favorite times were watching the Cubs, always telling everyone next year is the year.
He had a love for everything in life, but his greatest love of all was his family and friends. He was our superhero, our rock; he was our life.
He will be deeply missed and forever be in our hearts.
His family includes his soulmate for life, Kim Reimers, with whom he shared their children, Miranda (Tyler Stinson), Drake, Libby, Aubrey and Tanner; granddaughter, Sophia; his mother, Mabelle; brother, Christian Frantz; and in-laws, Dick and Ethel Reimers.
