Curry, Samuel 'Sam' L.
Samuel "Sam" L. Curry, age 47, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at the Marengo Memorial Hospital, Marengo, following a sudden illness. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Oxford, with the Rev. Diane Townsley officiating. Burial will be in East York Cemetery, rural Williamsburg. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. A Memorial Fund has been established. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Janelle; two daughters, Rebecka "Becky" and Rachel, both of Homestead; his mother, Marilyn of Williamsburg; a brother, Steven of Iowa City; two sisters, Sherrie Brenneman (Jamey) of Oxford and Vickie Simon (John) of Truman, Ark.; his grandmother, Vera Brockshus of Williamsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Curry, in 2003; his paternal grandparents; and maternal grandfather, Arnold Brockshus.
