Pam was born July 24, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Dewey and Helen Culver. She was raised on a farm in the Vinton/Shellsburg area and graduated from high school in Shellsburg in 1969. In 1973, Pam received her degree in business administration from the University of Iowa.
She had been employed with the University of Iowa for more than 40 years. Pam worked with Dr. William Olin in the cranio-facial section of the Department of Otolaryngology for more than 20 years. Upon Dr. Olin's retirement,
Pam obtained a position in the basketball office in the Department of Athletics, where she was employed until the time of
her death.
In every facet of each of her employments, Pam's work was excellent and beyond the call of duty. She loved her work at both the hospital and basketball offices. Pam always wore a smile and served up a job well done.
Pam enjoyed the friendship of the Olin family. She always spent the holidays with them and was present at many of their special family occasions.
Pam is survived by many friends and colleagues, the family of William Olin and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
Pam was loved and well respected by all of her friends and colleagues.
