Crystal Lea Allen, 53, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, with visitation one hour prior to service at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Crystal was born Dec. 3, 1964, the daughter of Gary and Adrienne (Hornbeck) Dobbins, in Iowa City. She was married to Brian Allen on March 30, 1985, in Sigourney, Iowa. Crystal worked with her father doing various office jobs at the church where he was the minister. She was a self-taught computer whiz and enjoyed crafts. Crystal loved attending country concerts and watching all genres of movies. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, Brian Allen; son, Benjamin Allen; mother, Adrienne Dobbins; sister, Sally (Jess) Bernhard; two brothers, Tim Dobbins and Matt (Beth) Dobbins; brother-in-law, David (Jodi) Allen; and nieces and nephews, Rachel, Kaitlyn, Zach, Mason, Austin, Carsen, Ethan and Desi.
She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents; uncle, Ronald Dobbins; and cousin, Chris Dobbins.
