Cruse, Donna Jean
Donna Jean Cruse, 78, of Solon, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at Mercy Iowa City. Services will be Saturday, Feb. 4, at 11 a.m. at Brosh Chapel in Solon, located at 100 South Cedar St. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Mechanicsville. Visitation will start at 9 a.m. Saturday at Brosh Chapel in Solon.
Donna was born Dec. 27, 1933, in Tipton, to Gilbert and Iva (Baker) Worby. She married Raymond Cruse on Jan. 24, 1957, in Tipton. She served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
She loved her cats and dogs, gardening, working with her flowers and vacationing out west with her family. Donna was a member of the Polypay Association for over 30 years and the Cedar Valley Rock and Gem Society of Cedar Rapids.
Donna is survived by her children, Debbie (Bruce) Glaspey of Sanford, Fla., Denise (John) Jensen of Tipton, Darren Cruse and fiancee Melissa Halfmann of Marion; three grandchildren, Carrie Koutek (Jonathan), April and Corey; stepgrandchildren, Emma and Matthew Halfmann, siblings, Fonda Brannaman, Donald (Carol) Worby, Dean Worby, Diane (Steve) Yeggy and David (Valerie) Worby; and several nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; a twin daughter, Doreen; and a brother, Darrel Worby.
