Crosby, Gary P.
Gary P. Crosby, 64, of Cedar Rapids, died July 17, 2012, in his home, with his family by his side.
Surviving are his children, Gwen B. Rugger and husband David of Coralville, Jennifer M. Aiels and husband Brian of Cedar Rapids and John P. Crosby of Cedar Rapids; his mother, Beth Ruth Crosby; grandchildren, Jacob, Natalie, Rachel, Brandon and Caitlin; and his brothers, Keith Crosby and wife Marsha of Minnesota and Dale Crosby and wife Christina of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis.
Gary was born March 22, 1948, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Lewis P. and Beth R. (Grier) Crosby. He was united in marriage to Mary Walsh on June 16, 1973, in Cedar Rapids. They later divorced.
Gary enjoyed volunteering, especially as a tutor at Arthur Elementary School in Cedar Rapids. He enjoyed flying, remodeling homes, feeding wildlife and above all his family.
