Cropp, Eleanor
Eleanor Cropp, 83, of Cedar Rapids, died at home Monday, Oct. 22, 2012. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday at Echo Hill Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Jim Langley. Interment: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Cathy (James) Cropp-Scanlon of Cedar Rapids; grandsons, David, Christopher and Andrew; and a sister, Val Stahle of Clearwater, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; and brothers, Elmer and Milton Votroubek.
Eleanor was born Sept. 28, 1929, in North Liberty, to Harry and Mabel Votroubek. She married George Cropp in Cedar Rapids on Nov. 6, 1948. He died in 2010. Eleanor was the cafeteria manager for the Cedar Rapids Community School District and retired in 1990.
