Crawford, Evia O. Polhamus
Evia O. Polhamus Crawford, 73, of Marion, formerly of Mechanicsville and Lisbon, died Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, from pancreatic cancer. Evia's funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan Funeral and Cremation Choices, Mount Vernon Chapel. The family will greet friends from 2 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the chapel. Internment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville.
Evia is survived by her son Matthew and wife Lorraine Polhamus, Mechanicsville, six grandchildren, three great-grandsons, two brothers and a sister.
Evia was born July 12, 1936, in Bragg City, Mo. Evia was formerly married to Kermit Polhamus. She retired from Wilson Foods upon its closing and was a member of Food Workers Union Local P3. She owned the South Side Tap, Lisbon, and the Cedar Valley Inn, Cedar Valley, for 10 years.
