Crawford, Amata Irene
Amata Irene Crawford, 77, of Manchester, Iowa, died Saturday, July 28, 2012, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. The cause of death was liver cancer. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at First Lutheran Church, Manchester, with the Dr. Rev. Jean Rabary and the Rev. Allan Oman officiating. Interment: Oakland Cemetery, Manchester. Visitation: 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home & Crematory and also one hour before services Thursday at the church.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Crawford of Manchester; her three children, Dan of Chicago, Tim of Simi Valley, Calif., and Kate (Mrs. Luis) Medina of Lincoln, Neb.; three grandsons, Joshua, Nathaniel and Andrew Medina of Lincoln, Neb.; a sister, Lois Johnsgaard of Lincoln, Neb.; several nieces and nephews; and thousands of books.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manchester Public Library.
