Crane, Marjory E. 'Marj'
CEDAR RAPIDS - Marjory E. “Marj” Crane, 83, of 606 18th St. SE, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dr. Kay Slocum will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and at the church after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Survivors include her husband, Carl; daughter, Carol Seng of Hiawatha; son, Don (Barb) of Cedar Rapids; daughters, Lisa (Dan) Ripley of Hiawatha, Sharon (Eric) Deitz of Davenport and Nancy (Joe) Omundson of Bondurant; and a brother, Allan Underberg of Monona, Wis. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Ruth; and a son-in-law, Kenneth Donelson.
Marj was born Sept. 4, 1927, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of Edward and Velma (Watson) Underberg. She married Carl L. Crane on June 12, 1950, in Cedar Rapids. Marj was not only a secretary and volunteer at First Lutheran Church for many years, but was a devoted member belonging to various groups there.
Marj was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
Memorial donations may be given to First Lutheran Church.
