Craig Allen Strait, 57,
of Cedar Rapids, died suddenly Dec. 5, 2015,
at home.
Survivors include his wife, Colleen (Meek) Strait; daughters, Jolene (Greg) Spooner, Christy (Joe) Barger, Tara Strait and Arlene (Alex) Green; son, Craig Strait Jr.; eight grandchildren; sister, Judy Strait; nephew, Denny Strait; niece, Tracy (Cecil) Powell; great-niece, Alexis; special friend, Ron Walton; and many cousins and friends.
Craig was born March 20, 1958, in Iowa, to Marshall and Arlene (Willis) Strait. He enjoyed listening to an array of music and was an avid stereophile, refurbishing homes and fixing electronics. He also greatly enjoyed camping and fishing, tinkering with his cars and enjoying the great outdoors with family and friends. Craig also loved to see you smile and laugh.
He was misunderstood by many, but loved by so many more. His family meant the world to him and he will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; stepson, Jeremiah Meek; and uncles, Bud and Lenny Willis.
The service will be at the Church Latter Day Saints, located at 4150 Blue Jay Dr. NE, Cedar Rapids, at 10:30 a.m. Dinner will follow for family and friends to share memories and celebrate his life.
