Willow Springs, Ill.
Craig Nolan Untiedt, 80, of Willow Springs, Ill., formerly of Walford, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, after a five-year battle with Alzheimer’s.
Craig was born in Waterloo, Iowa, on Oct. 31, 1942, to Marvin and Libbie (Kremenak) Untiedt. He was a graduate of North Tama High School in Traer, Iowa, and earned his associate's degree from American Institute of Business in
Des Moines. He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Mary Ann Bowen, on Aug. 4, 1962, in
Dysart. Craig retired from Quaker Oats in Cedar Rapids, after 37 1/2 years. He retired in Branson, Mo., where he owned and managed LSU Condos for 25 years. Craig was an avid fan of University of Iowa Hawkeyes football, loved traveling and wintering in Arizona.
Craig is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary; daughter, Kim (Doug) Gilman of Willow Springs, Ill.; two grandchildren, Julia and Mitchell; two sisters-in-law, Donna (Butch, deceased) Johnson and Doris (Warren) Holst.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held in April, 2023 in Iowa City for family and friends. More details to come.
