A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at 405 Beverly St., Robins, Iowa. Family and friends are welcome.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Laurie; his son, Curtis (Cheri) Kadlec; and his daughter, Jolene Kadlec; grandchildren, Jamison and Caleb Kadlec; great-granddaughter, Jasey Kadlec; brotherm Les (Deanne) Kadlec; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Clarence and Helen Kadlec; and his brother, Wes Kadlec.
Craig was born Nov. 7, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Clarence and Helen Kadlec. He married his lifetime love Laurie Lingard on Aug. 21, 1971. He worked in the automobile repair business in his early years and then at Quaker Oats for 36 years as a production worker. He was also a Union Steward for the Local 110 for most of those years.
He enjoyed hot rods, bowling, golf and volunteering for MDA in his younger years. Home projects, complaining and writing kept him busy in retirement. His sense of humor will be missed. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was willing to do anything for his family which might make up a little for his whining.
Craig said, "Life was good to him, and he died happy." He was the one who wrote this obituary. Again, we will miss him and his sense of humor.
