Crabtree, Justina V.

Justina V. Crabtree, 79, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at her son's home after a short illness. Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Hiawatha, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Mark Ressler will officiate. Entombment: Mount Calvary Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include two sons, Daryl and Gary, both of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Anthony and Cyril Neuzil; a sister, Elenor Jirak; and two grandchildren, Jessica Ortberg and Joshua Stephen.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, August and Lewis Neuzil.

Justina was born Dec. 16, 1933, in Winneshiek County, the daughter of John and Elenora Neuzil. She graduated from Decorah High School in 1951. Justina married John C. Crabtree on Oct. 20, 1952, in Spillville. He passed away in 1991. She worked in assembly at Square D and retired from there after 45 years of service.

Justine was a faithful member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, shopping and especially the time spent with her beloved family.

Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
