Cox, Clayton Isaac
Clayton Isaac Cox was born April 18, 1982. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sept. 27, 2012.
Growing up in Vinton, he was surrounded by brothers, a sister, nieces, nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. He loved spending time with family, often enjoying camping, fishing, and making bonfires.
Clayton is survived by his parents, Michael and Sandra Cox of Vinton; his sister, Juliette Huntsman (Andy) of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Mark (Sara) of Ogden, Kan., Jason (Leah), Carlos (Katie) and Ivan (Denise), all of Vinton; and a sister-in-law, Kim of Manhattan, Kan. Also surviving are his grandmothers, Ima Jean Smalley (Roy Johnson) of Vinton and Wilma Cox of Anamosa. Clayton leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was loved dearly, and will be missed terribly by all of his family.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bear Creek Cemetery in rural Brandon. To comfort the family, an open house with refreshments will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the home of Jason and Leah Cox, 508 W. Fifth St., in Vinton for all family and friends.
