Costello, James C. 'Jim'
James C. “Jim” Costello, 54, of Anamosa, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 3, 2012. A memorial visitation to celebrate Jim's life will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 9, at the Lawrence Community Center. A memorial service will begin at 7 p.m. at the community center, officiated by Pastor Mona Burns of First Congregational UCC in Anamosa. The family requests that guests may dress casually. Arrangements entrusted to Iowa Cremation.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn; his son, Joshua (Vevelyn) Costello and his children, Elizabeth and Jackson, all of North Las Vegas, Nev. his mother, Loretta Costello of Anamosa; and his siblings, John (Susan) Costello of Marion, Jena Takes and Jan (Loren) Siebels, both of Anamosa.
Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Jack; and his brother, Joe.
Jim was born Dec. 2, 1957, in Anamosa, the son of John “Jack” and Loretta (Wright) Costello. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was employed for several years in the construction field. Jim enjoyed playing horse shoes, watching the San Francisco 49rs and NASCAR. He enjoyed joking with family and friends as well as grilling out with his family.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial donations in Jim's honor may be directed to the family.
