Corriene Kay Kos, 80, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Feb. 11, 2022, at Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. Per Corriene's request, there will be no services.
Corriene Kay Long was born March 27, 1941, In Vinton, Iowa, the daughter of Carlos and Dorothy (Coots) Long. She was a 1959 Cedar Rapids Washington High graduate. On Sept. 7, 1968, she was united in marriage to Lawrence Kos in Cedar Rapids.
She worked for Collins Radio Company, U.S. Post Office, and Cedar Rapids Community Schools as a kitchen manager. For many years Corriene thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her children and family, trips to Meskwaki Casino, the lunch ladies' luncheons, computer time, her neighbors, and the neighborhood dogs walking by.
Corriene is survived by her son, Michael, and daughter, Gayle, both of Cedar Rapids; sister in-law, Alma Long of Cedar Rapids; brother in-law, Everett Schnacht of Cresco; brother in-law, Leon Kos of Clutier; and nephews, Greg (Kris) Long, Brian (Lori) Long, Neil Schacht and Tom (Colleen) Altman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Dorothy; husband, Lawrence; sisters, Ca men Schacht and Carlene Altman; and brothers, Gerald Long and Larry Long.
