Cooperider, Margret J. 'Peggy'

Margret J. “Peggy” Cooperider, 92, of Marengo, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo. Funeral Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, with Karmen Jamison, SACLS, officiating. Burial will be in Marengo Cemetery. Visitation: 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 8, and one hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.

She is survived by her two sons, Albert of Marengo and George (Arlene) of Omaha, Neb.; three grandchildren, Ellen Knier (Steve) of Grafton, Wis., Mark Cooperider (Jungsun) of Keizer, Ore., and David Cooperider (Mardi) of Omaha, Neb.; and three great-grandchildren, Spencer, Alaina and Marleigh Knier. Also surviving are a nephew, Keith Newton of Norway; two nieces, Bev Bieber and Pat Bunch, both of Cedar Rapids; and many other nieces and nephews on both sides.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mina Trimble Newton; her husband, Lawrence in 2006; a brother, James Newton and wife Betty; and a sister, Berniece Bieber and husband Mel.

Memorials may be directed to the family or Camp Courageous of Iowa.
