Cooper, Bill D.
Bill D. Cooper, 66, of Springville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at Springville Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Dr. Karen Downey Beals. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Susan of Springville; one son, Scott (Robin) Cooper of Cedar Rapids, and their children, Emma and Alex; and one sister, Lisa (Gary) Dundee of Cedar Rapids.
Bill was born Nov. 19, 1945. He was raised by his grandparents, Florence and Bert Cooper. Bill was married to Susan Vincik. He was employed at Kirkwood Community College for 29 years, retiring in 2008. Bill served 11 years for the City of Springville as mayor and City Council member.
