Cook, Marjorie Ann
Marjorie Ann Cook, 66, died Dec. 6, 2010, from complications of MS at Northbrook Manor Care Center. Services: 11 a. m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4150 Blue Jay Dr. NE, Cedar Rapids. Paul Johnson and Bishop Michael Dupree will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday and at the church after 10 a.m. Saturday.
Surviving are her daughter, Laura (Mike) Cram of Urbana; two grandsons, Alvadore and Jonathan Cram; a sister, Mary Ellen Boyer of Lakeside, Ariz.; a brother, Carl Hinshaw of El Centro, Calif.; and many nieces, nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvadore and Florence Hinshaw; two infant brothers and an infant sister.
Marjorie was born Nov. 4, 1944, in Holtville, Calif., the daughter of Alvadore and Florence (Walin) Hinshaw. She attended and graduated from SDSU. Marjorie married Laurence Cook Sr.; they later divorced. She worked for Calipatira Unified School District for many years before her retirement.
She enjoyed reading, knitting, art, and loved spending time with her grandsons and grand puppies.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial fund has been established by the family.
