"Connie" Alcott, 83, of
Marion, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at North-brook Manor Care Center, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 6:30 p.m. A private family burial will take place at Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion, at a later date.
Survivors include her husband, Arnold; children, Robin (Dennis) Dullea of Marion and Randy (Denese) Alcott of Hawaii; five grandchildren, Amber (Justin) Hoff, Rachel Dullea, Haley Dullea, Kasey (Mike) Fernandez and Logan Alcott; five great-grandchildren; five brothers, Karl "Jo" Kohl, Jon Kohl, Pete Kohl, David Kohl and Bruce Kohl; and three sisters, Patty White, Mary Cowles and Susan Blood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
Connie was born Feb. 23, 1930, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Karl and Rachel (Rick) Kohl. She married Arnold Alcott on June 23, 1961, in Cedar
Rapids.
In her early years, Connie worked at Rockwell
Collins until she and Arnold started a family and she stayed home with the children.
Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
