Conrad, James Wesley
James Wesley Conrad, 73, of High Amana, formerly of Wayland, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 2, at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, rural Wayland, with Pastor Richard Swartzendruber officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is handling the arrangements.
A memorial fund has been established.
Survivors include his two sons, Michael (Colleen) of Marengo and Ronald (Christina) of Wayland; a daughter, Amy Yoder (Brad) of High Amana; five grandchildren, Jory, Daniel, and Brinley Conrad and Gracie and Simon Yoder; and brother, Willard Conrad (Hettie) of Hesston, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley in 2009; brother, Edwin; and sister, Ruth Liechty.
