Connie Musser, 67, of Cedar Rapids, died early Saturday morning, July 29, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center from complications following surgery. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Connie is survived by her son, Scott (Jeannine) Musser of Hiawatha; grandchildren, Marik Lyons of Topeka, Kan., and Josh, Noah, Madison and Markus Musser of Hiawatha; stepgrandchildren, Tyler Fritz of Mount Vernon and Sierra Albaugh of Coggon; siblings, Pat Van Sickel and Gary Musser, both of Cedar Rapids, and Lisa (Randy) Wing of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-law, John Van Sickel.
Connie Marie was born Jan. 6, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Donald and Marcella Kuen Musser. She was a 1968 graduate from LaSalle High School, and retired after 39 years from Amana Refrigeration.
Connie was an avid reader, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her loving grandchildren and her beloved pets.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family in care of Teahen Funeral Home.
