Connie Kay Jones, 80, of Swisher, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Connie was born on April 23, 1941, in Waukon, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and MaDonna (Staford) Syverson. She was united in marriage to Ervin Jones on Aug. 25, 1962, in Las Vergas, Nev. Connie worked as an upholsterer, owner/operator of Jones Upholstery and later Interior Sewing Specialties. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, sewing and attending family gatherings.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Ervin of Swisher; children, Tammie (Mike) Gillette of Carterville, Ill., Tracy (Dave) Guenther of Swisher and Terry (Cari) Jones of Swisher; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Carl (Dottie) Syverson of El Monte, Calif.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Betty Rentchler; and nephew, Randy Rentchler.
