Connie Rae Benson, 65, died peacefully Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at home surrounded by her family. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at Immaculate Conception Church in Charles City with burial at Sunnyside Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to the Connie Benson Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 167, Iowa City, IA 52244.
Survivors include two daughters, Candace Benson of North Liberty and Heather (John) Doyle of Elgin, Ill.; three granddaughters, Taarna, Kenna and Pyper; three sisters, her twin sister, Carman (Bruce) White of Charles City, Janice (Ken) Morehead of Peoria, Ariz., and Diane (Rich) Jenc of Round Rock, Texas; former spouses, John Cowan and Garry Benson; longtime companion, Harold Neuzil; and nieces and nephews,
Connie was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Dylan DeBruyn.
