Connie Lee Alatalo, 77, of Cedar Rapids, died on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. A private family gathering will be held on Friday. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Donald; sons, David (Regina) Alatalo of Iowa City, Richard Alatalo of Cedar Rapids, Brian (Jamie) Alatalo of West Branch and Brad Alatalo of Loveland, Colo.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Craig Beitz of Bettendorf; and a stepsister, Sharon McCarville of Viola.
Connie was born Dec. 7, 1940, the daughter of Harvey and Edyth (Stone) Beitz in Cedar Rapids. On Sept. 11, 1971, she married Donald Alatalo. Connie enjoyed all things Elvis, spending time with her family, and the love of her life, Donald.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Louise Beitz; son, William Alatalo; and sister-in-law, Donna Beitz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.
