Conn III, Lannie
Lannie Conn III, 57, of 137 29th Street Dr. SE, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha after a short illness. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 tonight.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy; two daughters, Amber (Paul) Boshart of Melbourne, Fla., and Alyssa Christenson of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Lannie IV, who is in the service stationed in Germany, and Alex of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Connor and Ashlyn; three stepchildren, Brittnee and Jesseca Barrette and Tanner Conn, all of Cedar Rapids; his mother, Andre Sharp of Hudson, Fla.; his father, Lannie Conn Jr. of Virginia; and a sister, Eleanor (Kenneth) Silva of Scotts Valley, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Donald; and an aunt, Jessie.
Lannie was born March 23, 1954, in San Diego, Calif., the son of Lannie and Andre (Johnson) Conn Jr. He married Tammy J. Barrette on April 3, 2011, in Palo. Lannie was an HVAC mechanic for Johnson Control and Trane for over 30 years.
He enjoyed fishing, surfing, model airplanes and especially the time he spent with his beloved family and many friends.
He was a wonderful son, husband, and father who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial donations may be given to Hospice of Mercy.
