Collins, Mikaela Rennae

Mikaela Rennae Collins, 2-year-old daughter of Nathon and Hollyanne Collins, died on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, with burial following. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.

She is survived by her loving parents; her grandparents, Dona Howe and Charles Braun of Cedar Rapids, John Gilbert of Kansas City, Robert Collins of Cedar Rapids, and Robyn Collins and Cary Meredith of Caledonia, Minn.; great-grandparents, Frieda and Arlen Howe of Central City; great-grandfather, Carlton Christianson of Waukon; an aunt, Beatrice Braun of Cedar Rapids; her aunt and uncle, Rennae Collins and Cody Stoen; and many loving family and friends. Mikaela, the beloved daughter of Nathon and Hollyanne (Howe) Collins, was born March 11, 2010, in Cedar Rapids. She was a playful and rambunctious child who loved Eeyore, cookies, playing outside and dancing to her cartoons and movies. Mikaela loved and will be missed by her pet ferret, Rufus. She will forever be remembered as a loving child who always gave hugs and kisses.

She will never be forgotten and will always be in the hearts of her family and loved ones.
