Collin Michael Strabala, 20, ended his life on Thursday, May 7, 2015. Service of Remembrance to celebrate Collin's life will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City, where his family will greet friends after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Collin was born Feb. 5, 1995, in Iowa City, and was a 2013 graduate of West High School.
Collin was employed at Fareway Food Store in North Liberty. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing, mushrooming, golfing, and his family in Tennessee. Most important to Collin was his family, especially Sunday night dinners at home and Christmas holidays at the Strabalas.
Collin is survived by his parents, Patty (Bryan) Clark of Coralville and Richard Strabala of North Liberty; his sisters, Makenzie Strabala and Jenny Hardy, both of Coralville; his grandmothers, Phyllis Strabala and Carolyn Hardy, both of Riverside, and Mary Frances Clark of Camden, Tenn.; niece and nephew, Madelynn and Ryan; his beloved four-legged companions, Humphrey and Piper; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Collin was preceded in death by his grandfathers.
