Cody James Fisher, 22, of Elberon, died Sunday, March 4, 2018. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at Phillips Funeral Home in Keystone, with the Rev. Mike Ferguson officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday also at the funeral home in Keystone. Interment will be in the Keystone Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Cody was born July 1, 1995, the son of Mark and Stacy (Brewer) Fisher in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Benton Community High School with the Class of 2013. Cody was a member of the Local 43 and worked for Kramer Construction of Wisconsin, Steve Teneyck Roofing, McConnell Excavating and Iowa Premium in Tama. He was a member of the Elberon Fire Department. Cody enjoyed riding his Harley, playing pool, bowling, darts, shooting guns and floating down the river. He loved hanging out with family and friends having a good time.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Ashley (Kaleb) Hadenfeldt of El Paso, Texas; his nephew, Jacen Fisher of El Paso; his brother, Brandon Fisher of Cedar Rapids; his grandmother (noni) Linda Brewer of Albuquerque, N.M.; his grandfather, Michael (Kathleen) Brewer of Kansas City, Mo.; and his great-grandmother, Lavon Novak of Keystone.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Faye Ann Fisher; his grandmother, Stella Foster; and his great-grandparents, Paul Novak and Paul and Mary Foster.
