Coco N. Bryant, 37, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, June 24, 2022, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Celebration of Life service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW.
Coco was born Oct 1, 1984, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Terry and Cora (Watkins) Bryant. She graduated from Cedar Rapids Washington High. She earned degrees from Upper Iowa University, as well as her master’s degree from Buena Vista University. Coco worked for UAY as a youth counselor. She enjoyed reading, Pilates, yoga and, most of all, spending time with her family. She had a free spirit, was well known for her positive outlook, and cared deeply for others.
Coco is survived by her children, Cavon, 15, Cavion, 7, and Caliyah, 4; her parents, Terry and Cora Bryant; her sister, Cavio Sanae Bryant; aunts and uncles, Bobby (Doreen) Bryant, Paulette (Michael) Duke, Frances Brown, Luther Bryant Jr. and Betty Taylor; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clark and Thaddy Woods and Luther and Lucy Bryant; great-uncles, Melvin Lindsey and Roy Harris; great-grandparents, George and Cornelius Harris; cousins, Robin Edwards and Nina Postley; and her great-great-grandmother, Rosie Rucker.
