Cline, Dean E.
Dean E. Cline, 79, of Cedar Rapids, most recently a resident of the Hiawatha Care Center, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial: Linwood Cemetery. Military Honors by American Legion Post No. 727.
Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Rex Cline, Michael Cline, Roxie Yetter and Sherry Albertson.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Viola; brother, Rex; sister, Betty; sister-in-law, Lois; and brother-in-law, Earl.
Born Nov. 10, 1930, in Cedar Rapids, Dean was the son of Earl and Esther (Robinson) Cline. He served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Perkins during the Korean War. On Oct. 26, 1968, he married Viola. She died July 14, 2008. After many years, Dean retired from Yanda Electric.
