Clifford W. Kaplan passed away from an unexpected illness in February 2018 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Cliff was born in 1947 to Lillian (Laing) and William Kaplan. He married Teresa A. Chalupsky in Mount Vernon, Iowa, in November 1977. Cliff is survived by his spouse, Teresa; sons Andrew (Ronnie) and William; grandchildren, Grace, Lilly and Aedan; brothers, Don (Cathy) and Dave (Tammi) Kaplan; seven nieces; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Todd; and parents, Lillian and William Kaplan.
Clifford served in the U.S.A.F. as a staff sergeant while stationed in Vietnam. He attended Kirkwood College, worked as a welder at FMC and retired from
A-1 Disposal.
His passions were hunting, fishing and archery.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at Mount Vernon First Presbyterian Church with visitation at
1 p.m.
