Clifford "Earl" Tharp, 94, of Marion, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where a visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until service time. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Colby Robbins will officiate. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Earl was born June 27, 1927, in Waubeek, Iowa, the son of Clifford and Bessie Tharp. He was in the Coast Guard from 1945-46 in World War II. He also worked at Collins Radio from 1948-84 where he retired. Earl was united in marriage to Donna Mae Van Natta for 74 years.
Earl is survived by his wife, Donna; his daughters, Judi Isaacson of Des Moines, Iowa, and Patty Serovy (Craig Serovy) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
