Cletus W. Keating, 78, of Iowa City, passed away at Legacy Gardens in Iowa City on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, following a long illness. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Iowa City. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lensing Funeral Service in Iowa City. A parish rosary will begin at 7 p.m.
Instead of flowers and plants, memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Regina Foundation or the Iowa City Police Association.
Survivors include his daughter, Shelly Keating Conlon (P.J.) of Iowa City; grandchildren, Mackenzie "Mac" Conlon, Michael Conlon and Claire Conlon; sisters, Mary Melton and Eileen Foughty, both of Iowa City; a sister-in-law, Maggie Keating of Iowa City; and many nieces and nephews.
Cletus was preceded in death by many of his family, including his wife, Judy Keating.
