Cleo was born November 26, 1927, in Keystone, Iowa, the daughter of William and Elma (Landgrebe) Petersen. She graduated from Keystone High School as salutatorian in 1945. On July 25, 1946, she married Ralph Byam. Ralph passed away in December of 1958. Cleo married Clarence James Henderson on September 14, 1963, in Vinton, Iowa. Cleo was a very hard worker, growing up on the farm helping her mom with whatever needed to be done. She was a gardener, furniture refinisher, did hand work, metal etching and leather tooling. Her greatest passion, though, was raising quarter horses. Cleo was a member of Oakland Church of the Nazarene, Cedar Rapids. She will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Ralph Byam; son, Craig Byam; and husband Clarence Henderson.
