Clements, Jessie Mae (Asher) Gordon

Jessie Mae (Asher) Gordon Clements, 81, of Marion, and a longtime resident of Willow Gardens Care Center, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following complications from extended illnesses. Memorial Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include her daughters, Shirley (Robert) McCann of Newark, Ark., and Toni (Tom) Sotelo of Alpine, Wyo.; sons, David Gordon of Covington, Iowa, Steve Gordon of Denver, Colo., and Rich Gordon of Marion; a daughter-in-law, Judy Gordon of Marion; her favorite stepdaughter, Pam Jacobs of Marion; a sister, Jean Kumaris of Milwaukie, Ore.; a brother, Lynn Asher of Welches, Ore.; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Jessie Asher; a brother, Jack Asher; and a daughter-in-law, Jan Gordon.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the A-Team at Willow Gardens and the staff at St. Luke's Hospice, who were so wonderful to Jessie during her illnesses.

A special thanks to granddaughter, Leslie (Bob) Zynda of Guernsey, Wyo., for all of her help planning the memorial.
