Clayton was born Jan. 7, 1942, in Tipton, Iowa, the son of Joseph and Lillian (Wellington) Clements. “Shuffles” was employed as a laborer with Local 43 for over 20 years.
Dad was a good ol'' country boy. You would always see him in overalls and a hat, with a smile on his face. His favorite pastimes were going to auctions and tinkering in the garage. He showed his love by saying, “love me” and “miss me,” and loved to spoil his grandchildren. Dad will be missed by many.
