Clement Weldon, 85, of North English, died Thursday, July 7, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Mass of the Resurrection will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 11, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, North English. Celebrant will be Father David Wilkening. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Parnell, with military rites. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, North English.
Memorials may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church, North English, or Iowa City Hospice.

Clement Joseph Weldon was born Oct. 3, 1930, near Parnell, Iowa, the son of John and Anna Rita (Cain) Weldon. He graduated from Parnell High School in 1949 and served as a corporal in the Army during the Korean conflict from 1952 to 1954. On Oct. 29, 1955, Clem was united in marriage to Audrey Lucille Sauter at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Millersburg. He farmed and worked for the city of North English.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, North English. He enjoyed raising cattle and farming.
Clem is survived by his wife, Audrey of North English; seven children, Jeffrey (Judy) Weldon of West Des Moines, Thomas (Renee) Weldon of North Liberty, James (Sheila) Weldon of Williamsburg, Anna (Mark) Armstrong of Williamsburg, William (Christine) Weldon of Oxford, Mary (Martin) Malloy of Williamsburg and Barbara (Brian) Jackson of North English; 21 grandchildren, Michael Weldon, Katie Weldon, Amanda (Brad) Miller, Molly (Dave) Lengeman, Mitchell (Keri) Weldon, Amaleah Weldon, Levi Weldon, Clare (Nick) Duffy, Jackie Armstrong, Maggie Armstrong, John Armstrong, Andrea Weldon, Joe Weldon, Alyssa Weldon, Lynna Malloy, Thomas Malloy, Victor Malloy, Cavin Malloy, Luke Jackson, Nate Jackson and Jake Jackson; and five great-grandchildren, Mason and Zayden Miller, Amarah Lengeman and Audrey and Cora Duffy.
He was preceded by his parents and five siblings, John Francis "Frank" Weldon, Rita Murphy, Margaret Hanson, Harold Weldon and Dean Weldon.
