Clemens, Rodney Dean
Rodney Dean Clemens, 49, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
A celebration of Rod's life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton. Private family inurnment will be held at the Dumont Cemetery, Dumont, Iowa.
Rodney was born Sept. 3, 1964, in Vinton. He worked as a painter and enjoyed muscle cars, listening to music, refinishing furniture and woodworking.
Rodney is survived by his parents, Ron and Ruby Clemens of Vinton; his daughter, Calese Suzanne Clemens of Cedar Rapids; his significant other, Kathi Thompson, of Marion; three brothers, Rick and Ryan Clemens of Vinton, and Randy Clemens of Shelbyville, Ky.; five nieces; two nephews; three uncles; many cousins; and special friend, Calleen Randall.
