Claudia A. Kennebeck, 73, of Anamosa, died Monday, April 5, 2021, at her home. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Anamosa. Inurnment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Following the continued guidance from health officials, physical distancing must
be practiced, which requires a limited number of people allowed into the visitation at one time. The use of facemasks or shields is required.
Survivors include her husband, Bernie; three sons, Greg, Terry (Jill), all of Anamosa and Dana (Val) of Eagar, Ariz..; one daughter, Sherry Kennebeck of Anamosa; two sisters, Claudia's twin, Claudeen Demery, and Linda Wanstrath; and two brothers, Frank and William Sisco. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gary.
Claudia was born on Oct. 23, 1947, in Grinnell, the daughter of Mervin and Bonnie (Bennett) Sisco. She married Bernard Kennebeck on Dec. 27, 1969, in Anamosa. Claudia was the manager at the Super 8 Motel in Anamosa and retired from there after several years of service.
She was a faithful member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Anamosa. She enjoyed crossword puzzle, crocheting and especially the time spent with her children and grandchildren. Claudia will forever be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
