Clark, Leona Mae
Leona Mae Clark, 90, of 203 ½ Eighth Ave., Hiawatha, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at Northbrook Manor Care Center, Cedar Rapids. There will be no services. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include five children, Jon Andrew (Mildred) Rice of Council Bluffs, Timothy Joe Clark of Tempe, Ariz., Kurt Edward (Debbie) Krueter of Neenah, Wis., Dennis Duane (Rhonda) Clark of Tempe, Ariz., and Bruce Burdette Clark of Hiawatha; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Blanche Moore, Alice Moore, Pat Tompkins, Dorothy St. John and Helen Witham; two brothers, Harold and Delbert Witham; and two children, Burdette Clark and an infant daughter, Gloria Jean.
Leona was born April 29, 1919, the daughter of Clair and Eva (Stockwell) Witham in Milroy, Minn. She worked at Collins Radio, school, and church. Leona was an avid golfer, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Eagle's Club, Moose Lodge, VFW and AMVETS.
