Clark, Jan Allen
Jan Allen Clark, 51, of Delaware, Iowa, died at his home on Monday, July 12, 2010. Mass of Resurrection: 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church, Delhi, with the Rev. John Kremer as celebrant. Inurnment: 6 p.m. Friday, St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Delhi.
Visitation: from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home, Manchester, where there will be a 3 p.m. Scripture service; and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
He was born Sept. 2, 1958, in Manchester, the son of Charles and Velda (Meader) Clark. He was raised and educated in the area and was a 1976 Maquoketa Valley graduate.
On Feb. 27, 1981, Jan was united in marriage to Joan Schaul at St. John's Catholic Church in Delhi. One daughter was born to this union. Together they resided in Delaware. Jan worked as a heavy equipment operator working on bridges.
Jan enjoyed fishing, golfing, sports, crosswords and spending time with the family cat, Tigger. He was a very proud and dedicated father to Justine, who was the apple of his eye. He was loved greatly and will be missed forever.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Clark of Delaware; his daughter, Justine Clark of Ames; and three siblings, Claudette (Gary Omdahl) Becker of Toddville, Allen (Jennifer) Clark of Kailua, Hawaii, and Kevin (April) Clark of Delaware.
Jan was preceded in death by his father, Charles Clark, on Oct. 26, 2009.
