Clark, Harry G.
CEDAR RAPIDS - Harry G. Clark, 94, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at Northbrook Manor. As per Harry's wishes, private family services will be held in Czech National Cemetery. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.
Harry was born March 23, 1916, in Ely, the son of Claude and Bessie (Cech) Clark. He married Martha Brickner on June 15, 1939. Harry worked as a building engineer for the Cedar Rapids school systems for over 28 years. He also owned and operated Lindy's Restaurant for five years.
Harry is survived by his sons, David (Karla) and Gerald (Brenda) Clark, both of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren, Elizabeth (Greg) Glimco of Chicago, Amy (Dave) Dighton of Center Point, Jeff (Tracy) Clark of Ely, and Dan (Sharon) Clark, Bill Clark and Scott Clark, all of Cedar Rapids; and 10 great-grandchildren, Joey, Nick, Danielle, Colin, Jack, Kelly, Kerry, Matthew, Jordan and Zachary.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Martha, who died May 8, 2006; and a sister, Marge Rompot.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Mercy.
