Clark, Grace Leona
Grace Leona Clark, 95, a resident of the Solon Care Center, formerly of Ely, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at the care center, on what would have been her 74th wedding anniversary. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at St. John Lutheran Church in Ely by the Rev. Erika Uthe. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial: Rogers Grove Cemetery in Ely. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Karen Fiala of Ely, James Clark of Cedar Rapids, Will (Lois) Clark of Austin, Texas, Barbara (Wally) Ingersoll of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Mark (Pat) Clark of Huntsville, Ala., and Glen (Crystal) Clark of Mount Vernon; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew; her son-in-law, Dave Fiala; daughter-in-law, Carol Clark; two brothers, Loren and Will; and three sisters, Ruth, Helen and Audrey.
Grace was born Sept. 15, 1916, the daughter of William and Della (Blaede) Wilde, in Madelia, Minn. She married Andrew L. Clark on Nov. 10, 1937, in Keystone. He died in 1972. Grace worked at Rockwell Collins for 24 years and then at the Tupperware main office in Cedar Rapids.
Grace was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Ely.
