Clark, Florence Beatrice Cecile
Florence Beatrice Cecile Clark, 91, a resident at Living Center West and former resident of Hilltop Manor, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012. A private burial will take place Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.
She is survived by a brother, Glenn Clark of Detroit, Mich.; numerous cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Elizabeth Jane, Viola and Versellies; and brother, Donald.
Florence Beatrice Cecile Clark was born March 8, 1920, to Glenn Laurie and Florence (Robinson) Clark in Estherville, Iowa. She was a lifelong student and self proclaimed scholar, devoting much of her time studying religion.
She was employed as a lead inspector for Collins Radio for many years and worked with Head Start. Cecile also volunteered her time to help with NAACP, and was a member of the Toastmasters Sunrise Chapter.
She enjoyed Jazz music, spending time with friends and family, hustling people playing pool in her younger years, and doing things her way.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
